about the Department
The Department of Textile & Handicrafts, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, is responsible for the development of the state’s textile and handicraft sector. It supports weavers, artisans, cooperatives, self-help groups, and other stakeholders through government programmes, services, and institutional support.
The Department’s work spans traditional weaving and handicrafts, as well as skill development, design support, market access, and other initiatives that contribute to the sector’s development.
This portal provides access to the Department’s schemes, services, initiatives, and resources, making it easier for citizens and stakeholders to find information and engage with the Department.

Strengthening the Textile & Handicrafts Sector
The Department works across the textile and handicrafts sector to strengthen skills, support research and design, improve production infrastructure, and expand market access. Through its programmes and initiatives, it supports artisans, weavers, and other stakeholders in enhancing product quality, adopting improved practices, and accessing new opportunities across the sector.
