Inaugural function of Special Handloom Expos (SHEs) 2017 w.e.f. 5^th to 19^th January’2017 at ‘C’- Sector, Near Women Police station, Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh, Sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, under National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP), Organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicrafts Development Society (APHHDS), Department of Textile & Handicrafts, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.

The Local Artisan from every Districts of the State  took participants in the event and   40 nos of Artisan were recommended by the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh from District Officers Deptt of Textile & Handicrafts of including SHG/Local artisan and from NER participant.
Therefore the Artisan from Arunachal Pradesh were satisfied and deserves for futher expos and they expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Textile(Handlooms) GOI for giving them chance for participating the events.

Shri Rajib Saikia, Assistant Director (Handicrafts), O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Govt. of India, Ministry of Textile, Marketing and service extension centre , Naharlagun inaugurated Handicrafts Expo-2017,being conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicraft Development Society near Police Station, Bank Tinali  w.e.f. 10.01.2017 to 19.01.2017.

In the inaugural function Smti Tashi Wangmu, Designer from Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts highlighted the Digital Payments of Govt. of India and how handicrafts artisans can avail the benefits from the scheme.
