Special handloom expo’s(SHE’s) was organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicrafts Development Society(APHHDS) at I.G Park Itanagar w.e.f 19th Feb 2019 to 4th march 2019. The Programme was Sponsored by Development Commissioner(Handloom) Ministry of Textile Govt of India under National Handloom Development Programme Altogether 60(Sixty) Self Help Groups/ Cooperative Societies/Indiviswal Handloom Weavers Participated during the EXPO’s and Showcase their Various Products.

3 Days Buyer Saller Meet Bomdila West Kameng Districts 4th to 6th Nov2016

The Department of Textile & Handicrafts, West-Kameng District Bomdila has organized 3 Days buyer saller meet of Dirang Handloom Cluster during Budhha Mohotsave selebration at Buddha Stadium Bomdila 4th to 6th Nov 2016.
The buyer & Saller meet was Inagurated by Shri Monoj Tiwari Hon’ble Member of Parliament in present of Shri Kiren Rijiju HMOS. All the HMLAS of West-Kameng District, Panchayat Leaders, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police,HODs and the general Public.
The Buyer Saller Meet was Participated by all the Weavers of Dirang Handloom Cluster and the Interested buyers of West-Kameng and Tawang District and a transaction of 15,75,000/- was made during the buyer saller meet.
The Buyer Saller meet played a vital role on marketing of local handloom products and encouraged the weavers of cluster to produce diversified designed products.

Special Handloom Expos January’2017 Itanagar

Inaugural function of Special Handloom Expos (SHEs) 2017 w.e.f. 5th to 19th January’2017 at ‘C’- Sector, Near Women Police station, Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh, Sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, under National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP), Organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicrafts Development Society (APHHDS), Department of Textile & Handicrafts, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.

The Local Artisan from every Districts of the State  took participants in the event and   40 nos of Artisan were recommended by the Govt of Arunachal Pradesh from District Officers Deptt of Textile & Handicrafts of including SHG/Local artisan and from NER participant.
Therefore the Artisan from Arunachal Pradesh were satisfied and deserves for futher expos and they expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Textile(Handlooms) GOI for giving them chance for participating the events.

Handicrafts Exhibition January’2017, Itanagar

Inaugural function of Handicrafts Exhibition 2017 w.e.f. 10th to 19th January’2017 at ‘C’- Sector, Near Women Police station, Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh, Sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, under National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP), Organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicrafts Development Society (APHHDS), Department of Textile & Handicrafts, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.

Shri Rajib Saikia, Assistant Director (Handicrafts), O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Govt. of India, Ministry of Textile, Marketing and service extension centre , Naharlagun inaugurated Handicrafts Expo-2017,being conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicraft Development Society near Police Station, Bank Tinali  w.e.f. 10.01.2017 to 19.01.2017.

In the inaugural function Smti Tashi Wangmu, Designer from Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts highlighted the Digital Payments of Govt. of India and how handicrafts artisans can avail the benefits from the scheme.
