14 Day’s National Handloom Expo sponsored Development Commissioner(Handloom) ministry of Textile Govt. of India. & to be organised by Arunachal Pradesh Handlloom & Handicraft Development Society.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister ( Textile & Handicrafts ), shri Tumke Bagra, as Chief Guest and Shri N.T Glow, IRS, Secretary ( Textile & Handicrafts ) as Guest of Honour.

Tumke Bagra, Hon’ble Minister ( Textile & Handicrafts ) inaugurating the 14 Days Special Handloom Expo ( SHE-2019 ) at Itanagar on 27th Nov’2019, in presence of the Secretary (Textile & Handicrafts), Director ( Textile & Handicrafts), Asstt. Director, WSC, Guwahati, Artisans and all the Officers and Staffs of Directorate Office. The Exhibition was Sponsored by the Development Commissioner ( Handloom ), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom and Handicrafts Development Society ( APHHDS ).
Special handloom expo’s(SHE’s) was organized by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom & Handicrafts Development Society(APHHDS) at I.G Park Itanagar w.e.f 19th Feb 2019 to 4th march 2019. The Programme was Sponsored by Development Commissioner(Handloom) Ministry of Textile Govt of India under National Handloom Development Programme Altogether 60(Sixty) Self Help Groups/ Cooperative Societies/Indiviswal Handloom Weavers Participated during the EXPO’s and Showcase their Various Products.
The National Handiloom expo’s(NHEs)2018 Sposored by Development Commissioner(Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Organised by Arunachal Pradesh Handloom and Handicrafts Development Society(APHHDS)Department of Textile & Handicrafts,Govt, of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar,it has been organized 13 Days buyer saller meet of Handloom Cluster At Rooftop of Children Park, Shopping Complex, Tibet RoadGangtok, East Sikkim on 26 th March to 8th April 2018.
Apperel and Garment manufacturing unit (Incubation Centre :-
Apparel and garment manufacturing unit amounting to Rs.18 Core is established and inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Textile Minister Smti Smriti Zubin Irani on 13th September 2016 at Pasighat,East Siang District with more than 100 machines installed in each unit in a plug and play mode under NERTPS.
Production of local designed garments will get boost.
The construction of building and installation of machineries fully borne by Govt.of India,Ministry of Textile under North Eastern Textile Promotion Scheme.
The pre-fab buildings were constructed by NBCC.
There are 3 (Three) units in the incubation Centre:-
- Skilling Units -1 Nos.
- Production Unit -2 Nos
All the units are leased to private parties for operating after signing MOA.
- Skilling units – M/s Technopak, Gurgaon. (First Phase)
M/s Bumi Kioyi MPCS Ltd, Pasighat (Re- allotted)
- Production Units -M/s Elam Industries, Pasighat.(Unit-2)
M/s Elam Industries, Pasighat.(Unit-3)
Skilling/Training – At first Phase Technopak operated the skilling unit and trained 321 Nos of Local Youth.
Approval for separate Girls and Boys hostels, additional machineries and Power loom is sent to Ministry of Textile for consideration approval is awaited.

The Department of Textile & Handicrafts, West-Kameng District Bomdila has organized 3 Days buyer saller meet of Dirang Handloom Cluster during Budhha Mohotsave selebration at Buddha Stadium Bomdila 4th to 6th Nov 2016.
The buyer & Saller meet was Inagurated by Shri Monoj Tiwari Hon’ble Member of Parliament in present of Shri Kiren Rijiju HMOS. All the HMLAS of West-Kameng District, Panchayat Leaders, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police,HODs and the general Public.
The Buyer Saller Meet was Participated by all the Weavers of Dirang Handloom Cluster and the Interested buyers of West-Kameng and Tawang District and a transaction of 15,75,000/- was made during the buyer saller meet.
The Buyer Saller meet played a vital role on marketing of local handloom products and encouraged the weavers of cluster to produce diversified designed products.
